Seeking a top notch, detail oriented, empathetic and caring REGISTERED NURSE for a PLASTIC SURGERY office in TORRANCE. Responsibilities include assisting a very special doctor who specializes in breast surgery in the operating room, preparing for examinations, tissue expansion and minor procedures, pre and post op care and patient questions, reviewing lab results and imaging, writing orders for medications, treatments and immunizations as directed by the surgeon, calling in pharmacy requests, acting as a back up Patient Coordinator, taking medical histories and recording the information in the patient’s EMR, chaperoning the surgeon during cosmetic consultations, overseeing the medical assistants preparation of exam rooms, helping with answering phones and scheduling appointments when necessary, and maintaining supplies and equipment for the exam procedures.
Must have two years of experience in a surgeon’s office or hospital, familiarity with cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, experience with developing written protocols for clinical operating procedures and performing a good clinical breast exam, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Monday – Friday 9:00 – 6:00.
Compensation: $50 -$60 an hour, $500 for medical insurance, 401K, 96 hours of PTO ad 7 paid holidays
